With Mother's Day just around the corner I have been doing a lot of thinking about my mom. This will be the first year (that I can recall) in my life that I will not be spending Mother's Day with my mom. As much as I have missed her over the past 6 months I know that the people in the Spokane, Washington mission are very lucky to have her.
My mom has always been one of my best friends. Even when I was a little girl my Mom was the 1 person that I knew I could always count on for ANYTHING! She has always been there for me when I need a shoulder to cry on, someone to cheer me up, or just someone to keep me company. I have always known how very blessed I am to have such a great relationship with my mom and these past 6 months that her and my Dad have been serving a mission have made me realize that more deeply.
Mom, thank you for being so wonderful! I can only hope that one day I will be half as great of a mom as you have been to me. Thank you for loving me always, for your great example of how to live and enjoy life, for being my friend, and more than anything else thank you for being my Mom! I love you!
