Last night Joel and Jill joined JP and I in a friendly game of Croquet. Who would have thought that Croquet could be so much fun! None of us were certain what the rules were so I have done a little research. Next time we play--it will be the right way. Joel and Jill, pay attention! Here are a few things we missed.
-When playing Poison Croquet the you win the game by completing the course and then poisoning all other players (last night we started poisoning a little to early).
-Once a player is poisoned they are eliminated from the game. The final ball remaining in the game is the winner.
-While going through the course you have to pass through "wickets". Each wicket you pass through earns the player a bonus stroke.
-Players can also earn bonus strokes by hitting other balls. This is called "roqueting". If a player hits another players ball they earn 2 bonus strokes.
-Each ball can only be roqueted once per turn.
Now for the thing I would really like to know. Is a person who plays Croquet considered an athlete? I have never considered myself an athletic type but I do think that I could become quite the Croquet player. So if Croquet players are athletes I guess I am also an athlete! What a dream come true!

Looks fun.
Yes, of course you are an athlete!
My sister-in-law's 80+ grandma just won a croquet tournament.
Listen here. I won based on the rules we established, and I'll win with the new rules. I'd separate Croquet player, and athlete into separate categories. Calling someone an athlete doesn't make them athletic. And if your husband ever tries to kiss me again, we won't be playing croquet.
hey it is tae
